The Shortcreek Sportsmans Club hosted it's 3rd of 5 events on a 3000 acre parcel in the small town of Adena, OH.
Campers and tents were welcome on Friday evening to prepare for the next day's event... a 35 mile fundraiser to fund the purchase the acreage in which to hunt and ride on for it's 250 members. (rumble5)

Roughly 250 campers showed up to light up the night with displays of leftover fireworks and the rumble of atv motors.

The next morning, daytrippers poured in from several States to conquer the Rumble on the Ridge.

At 10am, the first batch of bikes and atv's were released to head for the hills
The one-way trails consisted of a variety of terrain including grassy fields,
strip areas, tight woods
water crossings,
and several mudholes.

The Staff members had an impressive 6-wheel drive atv to resque the less fortunate riders.

Mother Nature forgot to provide some rain for the riders, so dust was a major problem for most of the open areas
steve...use this as a filler somewhere!

Special thanks goes to Shortcreek's Dave Lengyel who said that "We had 1384 in attendance today, over 250 campers on Friday night, and over 150 campers on Saturday night after the ride. There were only two minor injuries to speak of. A great time was had by all and the Shortcreek Sportsmans Club would like to thank all the perticipants and extend a welcome to the September 1st, 2001 ride."
As in most poker runs and club rides, the Ladies had plenty of goodies and grub to eat in the newly built pavillion on the new site.
An atv raffle will be drawn at the September 1st event for a "big" and "little" Polaris Sportsman.
